Brooke Garvey

Brooke Garvey has been dancing with Simone’s School of Performing Arts for the past 13 years and trained in both classical and contemporary singing for 12 years with Gail Beaman. This has led to her involvement in countless eisteddfods, talent quests and shows within and outside the Central Coast and the opportunity to sing and dance as part of the S.S.O.P.A team to perform and attend workshops in America in 2010. Brooke has auditioned and been accepted into Y.I.P.A (Youth in Performing Arts) for singing in various duets and as a soloist for 4 years. Brooke was an extra as a high school student in the movie ‘Jenny Dixon Beach’, filmed in 2010. In the G.M.S (Gosford Musical Society) production of ‘Honk’ Brooke was a feature singer as part of the chorus. As a member of W.M.T.C (Wyong Musical Theatre Company) since 2006, Brooke has been involved in numerous musicals starting out as a feature dancer in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dream-coat, in the ensemble of ‘The Hunchback of Notre Dame’ and moving on to successfully gaining the lead roles of ‘Dorothy’ (The Wizard of Oz), ‘Sandy’ (Grease) and most recently ‘Sharpay’ (High School Musical). Brooke was the assistant teacher for the 2010 S.S.O.P.A musical theatre class. In 2012 Brooke looks forward to a rewarding year of teaching the Musical Theatre class at Woongarah Studio.
