Workshops

Simone's is THE school for you if you share our passion for dance - especially if you wish to pursue a long and rewarding career in the industry! As industry professionals ourselves we understand that in order to develop as a dancer and to increase your chances in future auditions you need to be exposed to as many different styles and experiences as possible. It is for this reason that we often invite students to become involved in dance workshops conducted by professional choreographers and dancers. For example over 50 lucky students of all ages took part in a hip hop dance workshop with 2008 ‘So you think you can dance?’ top 10 finalist JD, and had a fantastic time taking away new skills and inspiration. Other workshops run throughout 2009 included choreographers Supple and Travis Ross and dancers Lamb and Timomatic from 'So you think you can dance', Latin international choreographer and competitor Casba Szirmai who has been in Dancing with the Stars, Strictly Dancing, Asian Salsa Champion and choreographed for 'So You Think You Can Dance?'. All the way from LA we had Tony Czar; a top American choreogrpaher and dancer who among many other things co-choreographed Britney Spears "Circus" video clip and was one of the featured dancers. Students who have participated in these workshops have all agreed their confidence, ability and enthusiasm has been greatly increased by working with these industry professionals and feel better equipt to perform in future auditions from the experience and advice gained. We look forward to many new and exciting workshops with the hottest new artists in 2010!
