Jessi Hawkins

Preschool Dance Teacher


Jessi started dancing at age 2 in Newcastle learning under some of the best teachers in Newcastle including Natasha Noble, Jeff Mcormick, Julie England and finishing with Marie Walton-Mahon and Brent Street training in all styles including Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, Acrobatic skills and Musical Theatre. Jessi competed in troupes and as a soloist as well as dancing overseas. Professionally Jessi has performed in productions of 42nd street, Chicago, Rent and Burlesque as well as Universal studios, Movie World and for Royal Caribbean Cruises. 


Jessi has a diploma in dance and has a love for creating fun adult classes and preschool teaching focusing on the development of technique and a love of dance in a fun and creative environment. 

Jessi has worked and helped to develop a large number of preschool programs such as tiny tutus, petite feet and baby ballet. Jessi has worked as a choreographer and has a lot of success with preschoolers and junior dancers at competitions. Some of Jessis past students are now performing internationally at a professional level and she always loves watching and keeping in touch with her students as they develop and move on to a professional career. 


In her spare time Jessi is pre teen / teen mental health nurse and mental health lecturer and studying to become a doctor where she wants to focus more on the mental health of children and teens and is a busy mother to 3 children and 3 bonus children.
