Kaili has been dancing for 29 years and has trained extensively across a wide range of styles, including Jazz, RAD Ballet, Tap, Irish Dance, Flamenco, Hip Hop, Lyrical, Contemporary, Musical Theatre, Swing, Acrobatics and Acrobatic Arts. She is also qualified in Acrobatic Arts and has training in both the Twinklestar Preschool Syllabus and ISTD Preschool Syllabus.
Kaili began her dance training at Classique Dance under the guidance of Kerrie Smith, where she developed a strong foundation in dance and performance. She later attended Ku-ring-gai Performing Arts High School, where she was recognised for her creativity and talent, receiving the Creative Choreography Award of the Year in Year 7, competing against students from Years 7 to 12.
During high school, Kaili qualified for State Dance Camp two years in a row and attended the program at Sydney Dance Company. She also studied HSC Dance in 2010 and continued to train with renowned ballet teacher Hilary Kaplan throughout her schooling. Kaili furthered her training at Brent Street, strengthening her versatility across both technical and commercial styles.
Her teaching journey began in 2004 as an assistant teacher, before progressing into taking her own classes. Kaili has now been teaching independently for over 11 years, sharing her knowledge, experience and love of dance with students of all ages.
Kaili continued her professional training at ED5 International, where she studied under some of Australia’s leading industry professionals, including William Forsythe, Natasha Crane, Leslie Bell, Aaron Farley, Caroline Kaspar, original Tap Dog Nathan Sheens, Michael Corbett, Sophia Brennan, Kim Traynor, Dolce Fisher, Shannon O’Shea and Deb Whitelock. She graduated in 2014 with a Diploma in Performing Arts.
Throughout her career, Kaili has performed in a variety of professional productions and events, including P&O Cruises, A Chorus Line, 42nd Street, Crazy For You, Star Casino, Sydney Chinese New Year, the Arnott’s Foundation Gala, Schwarzkopf at Sydney Hair Expo, Universal Studios USA and Walt Disney World USA. She has also appeared on Sunrise as a dancer for the Kiss Goodbye to MS campaign.
